Training is a Rodeo

I dont really have much to say in the way of sense but I have a few images to share and a brief insight into a training session I completed recently. If I can maintain my focus and current drive in consistency I should be on target come March where I will be setting my sights on Xterra Miami. Preparation is sailing along smoothly although climate conditions can make it difficult at times with recent floods and some bitterly cold conditions...

Here is a brick session I did from BIKE to RUN. Garmin Training File.

Bitter sweet.

Between free ice-cream at JasonsDeli , unlimited refills at the lemonade fountain in Chipotle, a head cold brought on by the long hours of travel that has kept me from getting my training program up and running I think its safe to say my productivity level is on the up and I have had enough time to slot into my new living environment. Although far from where I need to be at this stage of the game with regards to my fitness level im going about this new program with some savored motions and patience. I am in no rush to fast forward the process or cut corners. What this means is that I will possibly need to re-look at my race schedule in the coming months but im going to enjoy everyday building up to the big days. I will put in the hard yards but im going to smell those roses and enjoy them.

Ive just gone Specialized and im excited for it. My new choice of wheels, a carbon 29" Specialized Sworks StumpJumper. This will be my choice of weapon this season. Took it on a gentle spin today and once I got rolling it was hard to stop. At 9kgs its light, firm and aggressive. Maybe not the lightest bike you have heard of but there is room for additions and alterations. In time.

ClifBar is my choice of training and racing fuel. ClifShots are amazing and im a firm believer of this brand, I will support it all the way. Unique flavors!

And last but not least I will say this. I have NO Excuses for success.
