Tasting of Future

There is clarity today, now experiencing the transformation as the landscape arranges her puzzles a-midst the chaos surrounding her, she too prepares for the future comings of Autumn. My sensors are escaping wildly, the glow to the landscape, the scatter of falling leaves, the crisp Autumn air and the clarity found on those two wheels of late has been phenomenal. Im riding the wave with care and tenacity as I move towards the next chapter.

Autumn
Autumn again is here
Beautiful Autumn!
The best time of the year
Beautiful Autumn!
With the earth bedecked and bright
A gorgeous, gladsome sight,
And summer on flight
Beautiful Autumn!
The sweet gums gaily dressed
Glourious Autumn!
The sumac scarlet crest
Glorious Autumn!
Hickories in golden glory
Presents the same old story,
Of frosts, soon so white and hoary
Glorious Autumn!

Gay flowers brightly arrayed
Lovely Autumn!
Waiting to be displayed
Lovely Autumn!
With dewy laden hearts
Natural works of art,
And courage to impart
Lovely Autumn!

A Boundless Moment

He halted in the wind, and -- what was that
Far in the maples, pale, but not a ghost?
He stood there bringing March against his thought,
And yet too ready to believe the most.

"Oh, that's the Paradise-in-bloom," I said;
And truly it was fair enough for flowers
had we but in us to assume in march
Such white luxuriance of May for ours.

We stood a moment so in a strange world,
Myself as one his own pretense deceives;
And then I said the truth (and we moved on).
A young beech clinging to its last year's leaves.

My beautiful machine delivered her first victory yesterday at the Stonebridge Ranch Triathlon. A local race covering Sprint and Olympic Distance pulling all local athletes with a field over 400. The day required another early start. Up at 5am it was cold, wet and rather miserable. It was perfect conditions for me as I love the mud, mess and anything else that means riding a bike in abnormal conditions which showed when the results were posted and I had the fasted bike  split of the day. Averaged 26.7Mph (43km) for the wet and slick conditions on a 4 loop course at 22 miles in distance. Also I finally got my season PR on the 6.2mile (10km) run course which was a 3.1mile out and back course, I ran 41m:15s which is not close to my desired pace but its a step in the right direction. I know I can be pushing a 5m40 pace in a few weeks. I will take this as a great day out and turn all focus towards Xterra World Championships in less than a month.
